Technical Support
Question: What is the difference between inner diameter and outer diameter?
The inner diameter is the diameter of the inside cavity of the uPVC pipe, while the outer diameter is the external diameter including the pipe wall. In manufacturing standards, the pipe diameter of uPVC pipes usually refers to the outer diameter. Technical specifications clearly state the outer diameter and wall thickness, from which we can determine the inner diameter of the uPVC pipe. The inner diameter is not directly specified.
Question: Different types of PVC pipes
PVC pipes consist of two types: Rigid PVC pipes (also called uPVC) and Flexible PVC pipes. Rigid PVC pipes do not use plasticizers in their compound formula. On the other hand, flexible PVC pipes require plasticizers, commonly DOP (plasticizer oil).
Question: Can uPVC pipes be used for chemical conveyance?
uPVC pipes can withstand certain chemical solutions such as acids and alkalis, depending on the concentration and properties of each type. Customers can contact the company for further consultation.
