Industry and Trade Newspaper: Binh Minh Viet Plastic Company Is Granted Trademark Recognition by the Intellectual Property Office
Industry and Trade Newspaper: The Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam has issued a decision and granted a Trademark Registration Certificate to Binh Minh Viet Plastic Company for: “BVM, Plastic ong nhua cua nguoi Viet” (BVM, Plastic Vietnamese People’s Plastic Pipe)
Recently, on September 11, 2025, the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam (Ministry of Science and Technology) issued Decision No. 203462/QD-SHTT recognizing intellectual property rights for the Binh Minh Viet plastic trademark, and concurrently granted Trademark Registration Certificate No. 570005 for the company’s trademark.
Specifically, on November 28, 2022, Binh Minh Viet Plastic Joint Stock Company (Tax Code: 0317578985; Address: No. 233 Street 26, An Lac Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) filed an application and dossier for the registration of the trademark “BVM, Plastic ong nhua cua nguoi Viet” for products under Class 17 (Non-metallic flexible pipes; non-metallic flexible plastic fittings such as: floating valves/connecting valves, tees, elbows, non-metallic stop valves) and Class 19: Rigid plastic pipes for building; non-metallic rigid plastic fittings for building such as: connecting valves, tees, elbows, stop valves.
Based on this application, on September 11, 2025, the Intellectual Property Office evaluated, examined, and determined that the requirements for trademark registration were met, thereby issuing a decision recognizing intellectual property rights and granting a trademark registration certificate to Binh Minh Viet Plastic Company with a protection term of 10 years.
The decision recognizing intellectual property rights and the Trademark Registration Certificate issued by the Intellectual Property Office serve as important legal bases affirming that the trademark “BVM, Plastic ong nhua cua nguoi Viet” is protected and legally owned by Binh Minh Viet Company.
Immediately after being recognized for intellectual property rights, Binh Minh Viet Plastic Company issued an Announcement to mass media agencies, organizations, enterprises, distributors, and consumers.
Binh Minh Viet Plastic Company affirmed that previously, disputes regarding trademarks and intellectual property rights were adjudicated by court levels, resulting in legally effective judgments rendered strictly according to regulations. The Intellectual Property Office under the Ministry of Science and Technology, as the specialized state regulatory authority, duly granted the protection title for the Company’s brand.
The Company also requests that all organizations and individuals refrain from spreading misleading and groundless information that damages the reputation and business operations of Binh Minh Viet Plastic Joint Stock Company.
Previously, while awaiting the issuance of this Trademark Registration Certificate, Binh Minh Viet Plastic Joint Stock Company was sued in an intellectual property dispute. Ultimately, through two levels of trial, judgments from both the People’s Court of Ho Chi Minh City and the High People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that the brand logo and name of Binh Minh Viet Company on commercial products do not cause confusion and do not infringe the Intellectual Property Law as claimed by the plaintiff.
